Rabbit/Snowshoe Hare

Guide/Owner David MacLeod and his oldest son Riley and their dog Jessie after a Hunt

Nothing beats the baying of a beagle on a winters day here in Nova Scotia. Hunting for Snowshoe hare runs from November 1st to February 28th, with hounds being permitted after the 15th of November.

Snowshoe Hare are found in new growth choppings, alder swamps and pine, spruce and fir thickets. Hunting is done from mid-morning till days end with your choice of shotgun.

Kennels can be provided if you bring your own dog, which we encourage you to do.
