South Carolina Trip 2008

I along with several of my close friends, I had the pleasure of bear hunting with Dave MacLeod last September. Dave is very meticulous in his baiting and he has multiple stands that he uses when conditions are just right. Out of seven hunters last year, all  hunters had an opportunity to kill a mature bear. Dave lined up a clean motel, some of the best food you could expect and was untiring in assuring each hunter had a safe stand and enjoyable hunt. He made sure each hunter got to his stand in a very timely manner and was prompt to pick each hunter up after the hunt.

Black Bear Hunt 2006

I had the opportunity to hunt at Farmland Outfitter’s this past fall, and must say it was a truly great experience. From the time I and cameraman Doug Vopel arrived, Dave went out of his way to see we were looked after, and would have an enjoyable time.

Everything from the accommodations, meals, scenic views, hospitality and hunting opportunities were all top notch. Dave will ensure that you are in the best possible hunting area’s every day you head out.

With a little time put in the stand and combined with Dave’s pre-scouting you will have the opportunity to head home at the end of your hunt with a very respectable animal. Given the opportunity I would definitely head back to Farmland Outfitter’s, because I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spend hunting with Dave!

I was hunting Black Bear at Farmland Outfitters in September 2007 together with three friends. This was my first Black Bear hunt ever. As being an outfitter myself, I had a lot of questions, and Dave impressed me with fast and accurate answers. From our first contact I had the feeling of dealing with a guy with good knowledge. His frequent reports of the situation at the baits with attached pictures was very good, and made me look even more forward to this hunt.
